With the Coronavirus still looming over us we’ve all been depressed and upset that we can’t get to our local comic shops for new releases, old releases, or anything else we’d like to buy. DC has announced that they have made the first chapter of “Batman: Last Knight on Earth” (part one: The Cave) available on their website! If you want to check out the first part while waiting for your book to arrive (or just want to read it anyway) here’s what you need to know:
Twenty years in the future, Bruce Wayne wakes up in Arkham Asylum. Young. Sane. And…he’s never been Batman. So begins Batman: Last Knight on Earth, a sprawling tale of the Dark Knight as he embarks on a quest through a devastated landscape, featuring a massive cast of familiar faces from the DC universe.
As Bruce tries to piece together the mystery of his past, he must unravel the cause of this terrible future and track down the unspeakable force that destroyed the world as he knew it. From the powerhouse creative team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, the team that reinvented Batman from the emotional depths of Batman: Court of Owls to the epic power of Dark Nights: Metal, DC presents what could be the last Batman story ever told…
Batman: Last Knight on Earth carries DC’s “Black Label” content descriptor (for readers 17+). The hardcover collected edition is available wherever books are sold. Trying to shop locally? You can find your neighborhood comic book shop here; many comic book shops have mail order, are delivering, or have alternative options like curbside pickup to get your comic to you safely.
