New Batman 1989 and ‘Hush’ Collectibles Coming

Batman 1989 Bandai

Some sweet new Batman merchandise is on the way, thanks to Prime 1 Studio and S.H. Figuarts. The companies announced a new Batman 1989 figure (S.H.), along with a Batman: Hush statue and bust (P1) for release in 2020-21.

The Batman 1989 6-inch figure comes with interchangeable face parts, multiple hands, Batarang,  grapnel gun, throwing stars, rope shooter, and cape extensions.

The figure will be a Bandai Premium Web Exclusive in Japan, but also available specialty shops worldwide. It will sell for ¥7,480 (around $68 US as of this writing). It’s due in September 2020 — though obviously that could change.

Meanwhile, Prime 1 is targeting the serious collector with their 35 inch tall Batman Batcave piece, based on Jim Lee’s Hush art (and this isn’t the first new merchandise based on that storyline).

Batman Hush Prime 1

Here’s the official description:

Prime 1 Studio is proud to present the MMDCBH-05: Batman Batcave Version from DC Comics Batman: Hush.

It is a beautifully crafted statue with an exceptional attention to detail with a specific texture very similar to the comic art. The base is specially designed to resemble Batman’s Batcave with as much detail as possible to give it a more realistic look. There is also a Bat Console System that can be extended upwards with a built-in LED light-up and designed with both the best of analog and the tech of the future in mind.

Inspired by the art of Jim Lee, Batman measures approximately 35 inches tall and is the ultimate must have for all Batman fans.

Don’t miss adding this statue to your DC collection!

Specifications:

  • Statue Size approx. 35 inches tall [H:87.8cm W:73.3cm D:57.8cm]

  • One (1) specially designed base

  • LED light-up feature on base

If the $1099 asking price is a bit high for your budget, Prime 1 will also be releasing a more affordable bust version. Head over to their site for more photos.

Dark Knight collectors should keep an eye out for both the Hush and Batman 1989 pieces to become available in the (hopefully) near future.
