“DC’s Crimes Of Passion” Event Coming This February!

DC's Crimes of Passion

Take a red marker and draw a big red heart around the MONTH – not day in – February because the DC’s Crimes of Passion event will tug at your heart strings.

In a special 80-page one shot, street-level heroes as iconic as Batman, Nightwing, Harley Quinn and more will provide Young and The Restless-esque romantic drama. Peppered with romance and heartbreak, this annual event will provide readers with hookups, breakups, breakdowns, and smackdowns.

Ain’t love grand?

The DC’s Crimes of Passion writing team will include – to name a few – Steve Orlando, James Tynion IV, Sina Grace, Stephanie Phillips, and Steve Orlando. And just for surprise, one of the writers will be How To Train Your Dragon actor Jay Baruchel. He will provide a love story involving one of DC’s favorite on-again, off-again couples, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon. Artistic duties will be delegated to Riley Rossomo, Andi Tong, Greg Smallwood, Anthony Spray, Mike Torno, and others.

As it’s always the cover that sells the book to the prospective reader, artist Yasmine Putri presents the most unlikeliest of scenarios: Batman catching Catwoman and Nightwing in a compromising position. Such an image gets across how freaky the romantic entanglements will get in this project and sure to cause sparks and great laughs.

DC released this official synopsis:

Passion. Betrayal. Murder. When you’re a private investigator, these are things you experience daily. But when you add capes to the mix—like Batman, Catwoman and Harley Quinn? Things get even messier. The name’s Slam Bradley and I’m telling you that this year’s Valentine’s Day special has more intrigue than you can shake a stick at. Ten tales of love—the kind of love that can push people over the edge. Don’t miss it…or I’ll make you pay.

Catch DC’s Crimes of Passion when it hits the stands on February 20, 2020 for $9.99 USD.
