The CW Wants Nine More ‘Batwoman’ Episodes

Those running the CW must like what they see from Batwoman, because they’ve ordered nine additional episodes for the show’s first season.

Deadline reports that the show’s streaming and DVR viewership is especially strong. The series has also seen 73% growth in the 18-34 age demographic, and 80% in the 18-49 demographic after the initial episode airing. The CW will also retain all future streaming rights; Batwoman is the one Arrowverse show without a Netflix deal.

Batwoman airs on the CW Sunday nights; episodes arrive Mondays on CW’s free digital platforms.

From alternating Batman & Green Lantern as childhood Halloween costumes, to getting punched in my adolescent heart by Love & Rockets, to playing convention sidekick to the legendary Len Wein, the comics medium and characters feel like a part of my DNA.
