Although 17 cartoons were produced in all, Fleischer Studios produced only the first nine cartoons. In 1942, Fleischer Studios was dissolved and reorganized as Famous Studios, which produced the final eight shorts. Culminating into one of the finest cartoon series ever produced! In fact the first release “Superman” was voted #33 in The 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field.

For those who have never seen the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons, you can enjoy the one below that inspired these figures. “The Mechanical Monsters” was released on November 28,1941.

My love of comics started at the age of 5, when visions of mythic beings fought their way across my TV screen. Batman '66, Super Friends, Wonder Woman, and Superman '78 filled my early childhood with imagination and adventure. Soon enough I found the spinner rack! Batman, Justice League and DC's Who's Who kept me coming back for more. I've seen the death of hope, justice broken, a light extinguished, and a universe torn! A kingdom come, the lightning return, a triumph of evil and a multiverse reborn!
