Aqualad Could Be Arriving in Titans Season 2

Aqualad Coming to Titans

Titans season 2 casting news just keeps coming!

We know Superboy, Krypto, Jericho, the Ravager and of course, Deathstroke are all set to appear. But now rumor has it, that both Aqualad and Aquagirl may appear as well.

As of now, it’s just a rumor, but the source has been credible in the past. Because there is no official announcement yet, it’s unclear which version of Aqualad this will be. It could be the original, Garth or the newer version, Kaldur’ahm.

Given the call for more diversity in film and television, it is safe to assume they will be choosing Kaldur’ahm. His character became popular in the animated series Young Justice. Recently, he also transitioned into the Teen Titans comic book as well.

Even if they choose Kaldur’ahm, that doesn’t mean we won’t see Garth as well. Similar to how Robin eventually becomes Nightwing, Garth eventually becomes Tempest and passes the reins to Kaldur’ahm. The passing of the torch could make for a great episode of Titans. Or, Tempest arriving could inspire Robin to take up the mantle of Nightwing.

This is all rumor and speculation at this point. Given the popularity of the recent film Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, it could be good business. Bringing a character that is related to the Aquaman mythos into the DC Universe streaming service could drive more sales. Either way, audiences will find out this fall when season 2 of Titans is released.

Which Aqualad would you like to see appear in Titans and why? Sound off in the comments below.

Cameron Tevis

Hi, I'm Cameron Tevis and I've been a comic book, anime and film fan my entire life. While I like Marvel and anime my true love is DC Comics. My father, who was a fan himself, introduced me at a very young age to the amazing characters in DC (especially Hal Jordan Green Lantern). I think it's a fantastic time to be a comic book fan and I'm happy I get to write about the company that I love so much. Besides being a DC fan, I am a designer and I recently started a comic book series of my own called Event Cycle 6 published through Aporian Comics. I recently wrote and directed a short film "The Misadventures of Harley Quinn". And most importantly I am now a father to my beautiful daughter Arya Jade!
