Summary
Wonder Woman and Giganta must stare down the largest Titan that Olympus and the Earth have ever seen…but even if they defeat him, they must answer the question: Can Giganta ever be trusted to use her powers for good? Can Diana get through to her—or do some big bads just get bigger and badder?
Positives
The cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson is cool. I always like humorous dialogue boxes. It adds some personality. It’s well drawn and is fun.
Negatives
The interior art isn’t great. The faces look strange. And for an issue that features a lot of action, that’s a bummer. Sequences that could be stunning and exciting are disappointing.
The conclusion here isn’t super fun or interesting. I understand that comic books are serialized but the story ends with a lot more questions and no answers. There’s some potentially interesting things about Diana discussed. But the story boils down to Diana and Giganta fighting a monster and the monster is stopped in a mysterious way to set up the next part of this Wilson’s run.
Verdict
I didn’t enjoy this issue. The spectacle of the action doesn’t play for because I don’t like the art. I find the style to be unappealing. And because there is no sense of conclusion, it feels a little dragged out. Maybe if I found the reveal more interesting, I would be more engaged. But I was mostly bored reading this.
