Summary

The Light has hired an intergalactic assassin, but who is the intended target?!

Positives

It’s chess, not checkers. The Light is a formidable team with a master plan that incorporates patience and strategic planning. This team is not one to take likely and surely will give these new iterations of Young Justice teams a run for their money.

Lobo’s arc was great and showcased a powerful fighter that the team couldn’t stop, growing the need to learn more. They can’t stop this small threat and have no idea the threat that looms over them. While it pitted our heroes on the losing side of the confrontation, no fight is worth winning without a great foe to take down.

Negatives

Young Justice has had great character design and even redefined characters for a younger generation, however I did not enjoy this interpretation of Ocean Master. Gritty and rough looking, it was far removed from the well mannered and calculating villain we all know. It didn’t help that the Aqauman film introduced us to a new interpretation of the character that vastly surpassed this one.

Verdict

The Light continues to grow, the master plan is beginning to form. Splintered teams and a Batman pulling the strings continue to struggle to even keep up with The Light and these set ups make for a great series to keep watching and hope for a climatic hard hitting finale.
