Superman: Red Son Animated Movie Announcement and Casting

Revenge of the Fans published a story earlier this week announcing that a Superman: Red Son Animated Movie was coming to DC, and it listed some of the actors involved.  One of the most iconic Elseworlds stories of all time, written by Mark Millar, is finally being adapted to film.  For those who don’t know the details, view the synopsis below:

“Imagine a reality where the world’s most powerful super-being does not grow up in Smallville, Kansas – or even America, for that matter…

SUPERMAN: RED SON is a vivid tale of Cold War paranoia, that reveals how the ship carrying the infant who would later be known as Superman lands in the midst of the 1950s Soviet Union.  Raised on a collective, the infant grows up and becomes a symbol to the Soviet people, and the world changes drastically from what we know – bringing Superman into conflict with Batman, Lex Luthor and many others.”

Revenge of the Fans also leaked a cast list that showed the voice actors for the film, but not who they’d be portraying.  Nevertheless, many of these names should be familiar to those following the Animated DC universe.  View the cast list below:

I am currently a Sophomore at Case Western Reserve University studying mechanical engineering. I have been in love with DC since I saw the animated series and movies in the early 2000s. I started reading comics regularly at the start of Rebirth. My favorite character is Martian Manhunter.
