Showrunner Michael Green tweeted out a picture recently that acknowledged the first day of production on the FX television show Y: The Last Man. The television show is based on the comic book of the same name, written by Brian K. Vaughn and illustrated by Pia Guerra, and published under the DC Comics Vertigo label.
Early on the morning of August 20th, 2018, showrunner Michael Green tweeted this simple image signifying the beginning of production of the show as you can see here:

Several people attached to the series were tagged in the tweet. They include co-creator Aida Makasha, executive producer/director Melina Matsoukas, executive producer Nina Jacobson and star Barry Keoghan who plays the role of Yorrick Brown
Y: The Last Man is based on the strange circumstances surrounding Yorrick Brown has he becomes humanity’s last living male. An epidemic has wiped out all the males on the planet with the exception of Yorrick and the series will follow him as he travels to find answers for why he was the only man on Earth spared.
The series definitely has some hype surrounding it since it is based on a multiple Eisner winning graphic novel. The series was originally in discussion for a film but when the rights returned back to Vaughn in 2014, development of the TV show began soon thereafter.
