As Gotham comes to a close a lot of people are asking “Who isn’t going to be in season 5?!” Honestly, I asked the same question. Some season 5 set photos have been leaked online, and one of the photos teases the introduction of The Mutants. For those of you who don’t know, The Mutants are a popular villain group from Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
The set photos feature an enormous man who has never been seen before on the show. The man has a metallic visor over his eyes and a spiked mohawk. Shirtless, towering over others on set, it seems likely this character is the Mutant Leader. How nice to introduce new characters when you’re supposed to be wrapping storylines up…

If this is who everyone thinks, it doesn’t make much sense to have them in the story when they were only introduced during an older storyline where Batman comes out of semi-retirement.
Also, it looks like Bane is also coming to season 5. Some episode titles were leaked online, and they teased the introduction of the character.
