DC Comics will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of Batman in early 2019 with a year-long celebration to include the release of Detective Comics #1000.
Batman was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane on March 30th, 1939 in Detective Comics #27. Tom King is currently writing Batman, and his run will end in 2019 after 103 issues of writing the comic.
Peter J Tomasi and Doug Mahnke are set to take over Detective Comics in December and add to a huge build towards March’s Detective Comics issue and Batman’s 80th Anniversary.
