During an interview with PrettyBrownAndNerdy reporter and co-founder Cheyenne Ewulu, Black Lightning producers and show runners Salim and Mara Brock Akil confirmed that a “Lightningverse” is in the works.
Cheyenne: There have been rumors swirling around that you guys are looking to start something like your own ‘Lightningverse’.
Mara: A Lightningverse?
Cheyenne: Like the Arrowverse with Arrow and The Flash. What are your comments on that?
Salim: We are. We are going to–we are creating our own world. We are creating our ‘Lightningverse’. That is the reason we’re doing this. We don’t want it to stop.
So it looks like they do plan on expanding the Black Lightning universe. Does this mean Static Shock will be making an appearance in the future? The only way to find out is to keep watching.
