Greg Capullo has revealed via Twitter that his upcoming DC Black Label title Batman: The Last Knight on Earth will be a three issue double sized limited series.
I’m penciling page 17 of issue 1 of Last Knight. I’d only be 5 pages away from finishing. But, Last Knight will be three 48 page issues! Lead buuuurn! 🤘🏻✏️🤘🏻

The project was originally announced back in 2016 as a Sean Murphy drawn arc of Scott Snyder’s All-Star Batman however, since then the project has evolved and become a standalone series with Capullo for DC’s Black Label imprint.
Read the series description below:
“Batman wakes up in a desert. He doesn’t know what year it is or how the Jokers head is alive in a jar beside him, but it’s the beginning of a quest unlike anything the Dark Knight has undertaken before. In this strange future, villains are triumphant, and society has liberated itself from the burden of ethical codes. Fighting to survive while in search of answers, Bruce Wayne uncovers the truth about his role in this new world – and begins the last Batman story ever told”
Capullo has also shared the following unfinished art for the series on Twitter:
