Nathan Fillion Addresses Those Booster Gold Rumors at SDCC

Nathan Fillion Booster Gold dc comics news

After numerous fan requests for him to play a live-action Booster Gold, actor Nathan Fillion finally addressed the matter at San Diego Comic Con. In an interview with ScreenRant, Fillion called Booster “a great character” but made clear he’s “not vying” for the part.

He added:

“Do I think it’s a great role? Yes. Would I do an amazing job? I like to think that I would. He’s a great character. He’s such a dufus. I could do that.”

The rumors connecting Fillion to Booster go back to at least 2016, following news that Greg Berlanti was developing a movie based on DC’s time-traveling hero. Although that version never progressed to a casting stage, Berlanti confirmed in March of this year that it is still in development at Warner Bros.

Meanwhile, Fillion can be heard as the voice of Green Lantern in the upcoming Death of Superman animated film.
