Joker’s Mom Won’t be Francis McDormand in Joaquin Pheonix Joker Movie

News is coming very fast for the recently announced, low-budget Joker movie starring Joaquin Pheonix, and Francis McDormand passing on the role of Joker’s mom is something to share.

Francis McDormand, this year’s Best Actress winner, turned down the role according to The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez.  He also stated that its very likely that DC wants a big name for this role and will likely pursue more actors of this caliber.  The tweet can be seen below:

How do you feel about this almost-casting?  We will be receiving a lot more news shrotly as Joker already has plans to start shooting in New York City this September.  Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s father, is rumored to have a big role in the film as well.
