There is nothing more invigorating than a make-over, especially when it’s a total make-over. As in life, it’s the same in the DC Universe. The newest superhero make-over is for Batgirl. Batgirl is getting a new creative team in August and a brand new costume designed by Batman: White Knight creator Sean Gordon Murphy.
In a recent interview with Polygon, series writer Mairghread Scott said of the new Batgirl:
“This is supposed to be a version of the costume that she was working on when she still lived with her dad…That’s why it looks so much like her original Batgirl: Year One outfit-like, she’s with her dad. It helps us with the story a little bit too, because it’s a little less bright-we wanted her to be more stealthy, and we want her to be able to integrate some more tech with the belt”
Marighread Scott will take over as series writer with Batgirl #26 in August with art by Paul Pelletier and Sean Gordon Murphy
