A new trailer for Preacher season 3 was released over the weekend that gives us clues as to the story for the upcoming season and an idea of where all of the characters are headed. It seems that there is a showdown brewing between Herr Starr and the Grail and Jesse’s group and the L’Angelles. This will occur at the same time as Jesse searching for the absent God and Tulip, Cassidy and Jesse preparing for another showdown with the organization that once tried to recruit Jesse in previous seasons.
One thing is for sure, however Jesse plans to combat his enemies, the L’Angelles clan will be involved. We have only see them so far through subtle references and hints, but its becoming clearer that you can’t escape family. Gran’ma is the only one Jesse knows who can bring back the dead, and its not going to be for free, so we will be seeing a Angelville a lot this season.
One thing is certain, AMC is certainly being transparent before this upcoming season. We have already learned from this trailer that Tulip has died and been brought back to life, so we know at least one major point of tension for this season as characters inquire about what’s waiting on the other side.
The show may change locations and certain characters, but it seems the violent and humorous tone will remain the same.
Preacher season 3 premieres on Sunday, June 24, at 9:00 P.M. EST on AMC.
