‘Superman’ Actress Margot Kidder Has Passed Away

Breaking news for all Superman fans out there. Margot Kidder, the actress who famously played Lois Lane in the original Superman movies passed away Sunday. Kidder died at her home in Livingston, Montana on Sunday according to sources. The cause of her death at this point is unknown. Margot was born on October 17th, 1948 in Yellowknife, Canada. She was 69 years old.

Margot Kidder starred opposite Christopher Reeve in 1978’s Superman and also in the 3 sequels that followed. She continued her acting career up until this year, taking small roles in TV shows and movies. she also had stage roles in productions such as “The Vagina Monologues” on Broadway. Reportedly she has two more roles yet to be released.

Kidder had a very public battle with bipolar disorder for many years and during her struggle, she was briefly homeless in 1996. Kidder has been married 3 times but has been single since the 1980s. She is survived by a daughter.
