Summary

Positives
The interior art is by Patch Zircher with colors by Gabe Eltaeb. It’s fantastic throughout. The characters look amazing; I love Zircher’s Wonder Woman. The entire book looks amazing.
Negatives
I don’t like the cover. The characters look strange to me as they have on most of these covers. Maybe it’s a stylistic choice but it’s not very appealing to look at. Superman especially looks bizarre.
There is way too much talking. The issue relies entirely too much on dialogue. Everything is over explained and all in dialogue. Robinson tries to poke fun at that trope but then immediately does it anyway in regards to Deimos explaining everything. That is a huge pet peeve for me. If you’re going to make fun of a trope, why would you immediately use it?
Verdict
I didn’t care for the issue. The book looks fantastic; I am really impressed by this art as I have been. But the writing does nothing for me. The story doesn’t interest me that much and it is over reliant on dialogue. The issue ends up not being compelling.
