We always love Easter Eggs and rumors and the anticipation of finding out if it’s true or not. We also just like juicy tidbits before everyone else knows. Well, one rumor has just been confirmed as true! The rumor mill was abuzz that Wonder Woman 2 would be set during the Cold War in the 1980s. It turns out; it’s real! Patty Jenkins herself confirmed it last night at Warner Bros.’ CinemaCon panel. I would’ve loved to see a World War II setting, but hey that’s just me.
Jenkins took to the stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and said that Wonder Woman 2 will be set in the 1980s. She didn’t specifically mention the Cold War, but we can put two and two together.

Some fans are pretty surprised since in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League, Diana says she stepped away from mankind for a century after WWI. That means she wouldn’t have come back in the limelight until 2018 (fancy that?). Gal Gadot even says she doesn’t agree with that backstory and looks like the DCEU will forget about that piece of info from now on.
Aquaman director James Wan was also at CinemaCon with Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Wan didn’t want to give us any spoilers since the visual effects still aren’t done (geez dude hurry up) but said WB made him anyways. Sorry, not sorry? But the reactions were extremely positive!
Okay, just saw a rough teaser trailer for #Aquaman and it looks really great, even with unfinished effects. Things seen: Orm, Vulko, gold TRIdent, Black Manta, Atlantis and various underwater races. Looks absolutely epic #CinemaCon

Third times the charm right? Even more good news! Shazam director David Sandberg was there too! Sandberg showed us some brief behind-the-scenes footage of the film and that they are “creating a modern DC cinematic universe accessible to the whole family.” That could be taken many ways if you read between the lines. A re-vamp already? Who knows!
