As many fans awaited some big news and trailers to flood WonderCon 2018, for the most part, they were satiated. This is true unless you were one of the many DC fans hoping to see a glimpse of some footage from the upcoming James Wan helmed and Jason Momoa starring film, Aquaman.
The last time fans saw anything from the upcoming movie was some pictures that ended up on Entertainment Weekly’s website. So it was no surprise that fans took to Twitter to offer their dissatisfaction, which Wan saw and responded in kind as can be seen below:
Hey friends, I usually do my best to avoid internet noises (especially fabricated distractions) but a teaser-trailer going out this weekend was never in the books — despite what some claim. It’s not because of anyone or any nefarious reason holding it back — IT’S ME. (1/3)

I am simply not ready yet to share. This movie is filled to the gills with VFX, and the process is as slow and laborious as a sea-slug! Yes, even shots for the trailers take forever to do, and I refuse to put out anything that might be construed as subpar. (2/3)

I know it seems like nothing much is brewing above the surface, but I can assure you, we’re working nonstop under the waves 🌊 😉 (3/3)
(Ps: And yes, I plan to use oceanic puns/references every chance I get 😂)— James Wan (@creepypuppet) March 25, 2018
As we can see, Wan had no plans to release a trailer, as he still is in the process of adding CGI effects and putting together the film. Hopefully, within the next few months we will see some footage for DC’s next feature film.
