Vertigo’s mob comic book, The Kitchen, was a critical and fan favorite, and now it will see a big screen adaptation very soon. Over the past few months, Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish have been added to the cast, and now it’s been confirmed that Elisabeth Moss of Mad Men and Handmaid’s Tale fame has joined the cast, filling out the final spot for the three lead characters. Below are their character descriptions:
“Moss will be playing a timid wife of an abusive husband. She eventually starts to fall in love with the violence that starts to take over her life. She joins Tiffany Haddish, who will be playing a woman willing to kill anyone who gets in her way. Melissa McCarthy will be playing an adoring mother who leads the charge for the women to take over the business.”
The film is set to hit theaters in September of 2019 and I have a feeling between the casting, the story and the creative team behind the scenes, the film will be a hit.
