Summary
“Fall Of The Batmen” part four! Batman might have overpowered the Victim Syndicate, but they had one last surprise for him: a secret weapon that’s made one of his strongest rogues nearly unstoppable!
Positives
I can definitely say that Tynion‘s understanding of character development is on full display as he continues to show the complexity of a reformed villain in Clayface. The art by Egea and Mondonca is gorgeously stylized and gives Batman and Clayface, out of all the characters, their most definitive looks yet. Tynion makes this story very relevant. Imagining a city where a person or organization can manipulate protestors and mass media plays into our worst fears as readers and as humans. Lastly, how the Victim Syndicate uses Clayface against the Bat Family, as well as weaponizing their worst fears and insecurities, gives Batman one of his most cunning foes.
Negatives
There are no negatives worth mentioning in this issue.
Verdict
Buy as this has become not your normal clever scheme by the villains story, but a well-orchestrated takeover, by some seriously lethal rogues.
