‘Arrow’ Cast Looking to Crossover With ‘Gotham’ After Bruce Wayne Name Drop

After name-dropping Bruce Wayne during one of their episodes and establishing his existence in the Arrow-verse, the cast of Arrow is very excited about expanding their universe and possibly collaborating with Fox’s Gotham.  They are all excited to add characters to create more opportunities and adventures.

As the DC multiverse continues to grow and expand both in movies and TV, fans at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose asked the cast of Arrow about where they what they would like to see next.  Rick Gonzalez, who plays Wild Dog, spoke about his love for a universe that can always grow and add more.  Meanwhile Echo Kellum, Arrow’s Mister Terrific, hopes to work with Bruce Wayne sometime soon.  He said,

“One of the coolest parts from this season, and it was such a little small part, but I remember when I found out we were going to do it was so cool that, even Stephen name dropping Bruce Wayne in an episode, it was like so dope that you know like, yeah we are all in this world and this universe so just to see any of them come in.”

The Flash was the first Arrowverse series to mention the show but only in a future newspaper headline during the series premier.  This mention specifically confirms Wayne’s presence in the Arrowverse and possibly hints at his future appearance in one of the CW shows.  Echo Kellum took that idea even further by suggesting a Gotham crossover saying,

“But like, yeah like Superman coming in on Supergirl, it really is amazing the array of characters that have been able to be involved in, you know, the DCTV universe or whatnot and I would love to see us even, you know, mess around with Gotham and you know all these properties that are under Warner Bros, it would be really cool.”

The two shows are on different networks and seem to be in different timelines, so it is very unlikely that a crossover, no matter how cool, will occur in the near future.  It is nice to see the cast looking forward to continued expansion, and hopefully more character will be brought into the universe by the time we see next year’s crossover.

Arrow airs Thursdays at 9/8c on the CW.
