This week is a special week, because DC has published the latest edition of their annual anthology from the graduates of the DC Comics Talent Development Workshop program. This annual book is a product of the recently established Talent Development department, which is comprised of a writer’s workshop developed by Scott Snyder (writer, All-Star Batman, Batman and Robin: Eternal) and an artist’s workshop developed by Klaus Janson (artist, Dark Knight III: The Master Race, Superman), Jim Lee (artist, Suicide Squad, Superman Unchained), and Andy Kubert (artist, Damian: Son of Batman, Dark Knight III: The Master Race).
DC Comics was kind enough to provide us with an advance copy to review for DC Comics News, featuring seven stories by seven different teams of new and current talent, stepping out of their comfort zones to bring you new and interesting stories.
From the DC Comics website:
The latest graduates from the DC Talent Development Workshops show off their skills in stories starring some of DC’s greatest characters. In these tales, Poison Ivy fights an ancient demon, Doctor Fate is confronted by the cost of magic, Red Hood and Duke Thomas face off in a training day simulation and so much more!
We’ve decided to write seven separate critiques from our crack team of dedicated reviewers, but instead of making you track them down, we’re putting links right here for you to find! Check out each review below, and then share your thoughts with us in the comments and on social media after you get your copy this Wednesday.
