Positives

One of the best things coming out of this series, and this issue in particular, is just how complex and rich the story is. Higgins gives another issue in this series that is so well thought out, complex, and intriguing, that it keeps you reaching for the next page as fast as you can. You just don’t know what will happen next, which in turn will leave you wanting more and more.

Higgins also does a great job in writing Dick Grayson’s character. It’s evident in this issue that he is torn between worlds, and at the end of the day, he only wants to save his son – but at what cost?

There are also some interesting new dynamics in this issue, as well as new revelations that start to come to life which really progresses the story and the entertainment value.

The art in this issue has been great once again and pretty consistent with the rest of the series. We still get that old feel to the colors and tired look in the lines, which really does a good job at showing how everyone has aged.

Verdict

A very great fourth issue in this series, and some serious game changers start to emerge. A definite must read!
