Simon and Jessica continue their attempt to save the Molites from being destroyed.
Positives
In continuing the incredible story from last week, Seeley gives us another fantastic story of heroism and fun. The story has a very easy flow to it. Just the right amount of action, humor, and heart.
What makes Seeley’s writing so great is his ability to write characters in a very human way. Before Seeley, we went issues upon issues of Jessica and Simon doing their Lantern thing, but never really know them as characters. Seeley gives us that. The flashbacks we get depicts the constant issues of their past lives, and how even heroes who patrol the entire cosmos can’t run away from their past, which makes it challenging trying to find a regular paying job on Earth. The flashbacks don’t overwhelm the issue either, which is a good thing.
I’m just going to put it our there, but Jessica Cruz is my absolute hero. Without giving away to much of the story, she has that ability to be funny, sweet, charming and a total bad ass all in one. If DC or WB ever wants to put out a Saturday morning cartoon starring Jessica and her ring, I’d watch it. Her ring gets so snarky; I love it!
We’re also left with a few questions in this issue, such as Simon’s constant ability to heal, and, well, the total “Terminator” vibe we get with Jessica’s ring. How are these possible for Lanterns?
Finally, the beautiful artwork in this issue, once again, really complemented the fantastic writing. Gorgeous colors, beautiful lines, and wonderful facial expressions. The double page spread with Simon constructing one of the best constructs I’ve ever seen definitely took the cake.

Verdict
This issue was a fun and fantastic book to read. Seeley’s second book on the series was another hit, and Ronan Cliquet and Hi-Fi continue to show why they are some of the best in the business.
