Despite being universally panned by a number of critics, Suicide Squad‘s brightest spot was the performance of Harley Quinn by actress Margot Robbie. As of now, the sequel has the green light to be made but we only know that production will being sometime next year.
Robbie was being interviewed by The Wrap where she revealed that she will be indeed reprising the role of Harley but wouldn’t clarify which movie she will actually be participating in. Robbie said:
“I think next year I’ll be back in the fishnets wielding a baseball bat, I hope.”
She later was asked if she will playing Harley in a Joker/Harley movie to which she replied:
“Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I don’t know.”
Fans can expect Robbie to appear in the sequel but as to the other rumored projects such as Gotham City Sirens, a Joker/Harley movie, or the recently revealed Joker origin story, no new information has been released as of this writing.
