Justice League Mortal - DC Comics News

With the Justice League film set to be released in just a few short months, many fans still contemplate what could’ve been back in 2007 when George Miller was set to direct Justice League: Mortal.

With DJ Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as John Stewart/Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, Anton Yelchin as Kid-Flash, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter and Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, many fans were thrilled at the possibilities.

Unfortunately just days before cameras started rolling, the film was cancelled due to various reasons.

Jay Baruchel, who was set to play villain Maxwell Lord, recently spoke about the experience on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Baruchel reveals many interesting things about the film that would’ve made fans ecstatic to see on the film. He explained how the film was to be based off of the event comic Infinite Crisis, by Geoff Johns, and that there was going to be an epic battle between Superman and Wonder Woman.

Cameron Tevis

Hi, I'm Cameron Tevis and I've been a comic book, anime and film fan my entire life. While I like Marvel and anime my true love is DC Comics. My father, who was a fan himself, introduced me at a very young age to the amazing characters in DC (especially Hal Jordan Green Lantern). I think it's a fantastic time to be a comic book fan and I'm happy I get to write about the company that I love so much. Besides being a DC fan, I am a designer and I recently started a comic book series of my own called Event Cycle 6 published through Aporian Comics. I recently wrote and directed a short film "The Misadventures of Harley Quinn". And most importantly I am now a father to my beautiful daughter Arya Jade!
