Not only as it reported we’re getting a new Joker origin film, we have confirmation of even more Joker. Jared Leto will be returning as the Clown Prince, our beloved Mistah J, in two upcoming DCEU films. Leto will be returning in both Suicide Squad 2 and Gotham City Sirens.
Although we’re getting a different actor for the origin film, Leto will continue to play the role in the DCEU franchise. We didn’t get to see enough of Leto’s portrayal in the first Suicide Squad to correctly judge him so hopefully, we’ll get to see a lot more of him to judge his ability in the newer films. It seems that DC and Warner Bros. are relying heavily on the villain craze rather than giving some heroes the solo film they deserve. We have yet to see a solo Flash, Cyborg, Shazam, Green Arrow, or a decent Green Lantern film. We haven’t even gotten the solo Batman DCEU film we’ve been promised.
