Summary

Batgirl and Catwoman team up to save kidnapped animals.

Positives

Dan Mora’s cover is amazing. Batgirl and Catwoman both look fantastic and I adore the colors. The background is cool with the purple city. I like that the two have switched weapons; that’s an interesting detail, and a really cool cover.

The interior art is by Inaki Miranda with Eva De La Cruz, which is great. The pair did wonderful work on the New 52 Catwoman book, so it’s awesome to see them work on that character again, but they’re pretty good with Batgirl too. The art is fantastic throughout. The color is fun and atmospheric and compliments Miranda’s art well. The characters look great; they’re well defined and expressive. Everything looks great.

I like Hope Larson’s story. It’s another one shot story which is fantastic; we need more of those. I’m a dog owner so I like that this story is about rescuing important pets. The villain is just lucky that it’s Batgirl coming to save the animals and not John Wick. It’s a fun and simple story that completely works.

Verdict

This is a great issue. It’s a cool stand alone story that’s a lot of fun. The art is incredible and the issue stars two of the coolest characters in the DC Universe. I highly recommend reading this issue.
