Recently, Warner Bros. revealed a list of several projects and two of them are untitled DC Extended Universe films. And, news has circulated that Shazam will start production next year in February with David F. Sandberg taking on the project.
Now, it seems possible that the one of the untitled DC films would be Shazam. Although the said film is set to hit theaters April 5, 2019, the plot of Shazam is still unknown and hopefully we get to hear some news at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. Also, in addition, New Line Cinema production is in ties with Warner Bros., and DC Entertainment revealed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam will not be featured in the Billy Batson centered-movie.
Shazam was created by C.C. Beck and writer Bill Parker and was originally called Captain Marvel. The comic was first published by Fawcett Comics in 1939. Shazam is a teenage kid named Billy Batson who was granted powers of six mythological gods when he says the word “Shazam” which transforms himself in the powerful superhero.
