‘Wonder Woman’ Director Patty Jenkins Reveals Favorite Storyline

Fans are always happy when it revealed that Hollywood stars and directors are huge comic book fans. It’s even better when they star in/adapt those comic book films their such a fan of. Such is the case for Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins. While interacting with fans on Twitter she was asked what was her favorite Wonder Woman storylines, and she rattled off her favorites. Jenkins revealed that her favorite storyline was the original Wonder Woman run written by William Marston. She also likes the New 52 where Diana leaves Themyscira. Pretty sure that’s just what we wanted to hear.

Another fan also asked about the comic influences for the film adaptation and Jenkins responded with not only the original Marston run but also George Perez.

Wonder Woman releases this Friday, June 2nd. Don’t miss it! This film is being raved as the best film since The Dark Knight, so you know you have to see it! Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman and is joined by Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremmer, and Said Taghmaoui. The screenplay is written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, with a hand from Zack Snyder.
