It’s already been announced that Young Justice is finally coming back for Season 3, but now we have conformation that some previous voice actors are returning to reprise their roles. Khary Payton, who also stars in AMC’s The Walking Dead, has confirmed he will be returning as the voice of Aqualad in the upcoming season. there has yet to be a release date for when Young Justice is coming back but Payton had this to say about his Aqualad role:
“I can’t wait. I absolutely can’t wait. It’s gonna be so much fun just getting back to those stories and getting back to Kaldur and seeing how he grows. He’s one of my favorite characters of all time. I can’t wait to continue telling that story because we have a lot more story to tell.”
With that statement it seems Payton is hinting at some big plans for the show. Young Justice has been off the air since 2013 which left the story hanging in the balance and many fans highly upset. At the end of Season 2 fans had been left to wonder the fate of Kid Flash who appeared to sacrifice himself. With the new season we hope to have our answers.
Young Justice will return on Cartoon Network once a release date has been set, and as far as we know has yet to even begin production.
