Summary
Our favourite, freshly buzzed, freaky songstress finds herself in a frightening frenzied fetish club in this issue — and not in the fun way! Quinn’s deal with the senator is starting to become quite the task as she ventures deeper and deeper into this club to take down the murderers of Harley’s favourite mailman. Amidst her work she is also getting closer to taking back the heart that was stolen from her.
On the other side of town, Red Tool, Eggsy, and Tony find themselves enjoying a little B&E. No, not bacon and eggs (Would Eggsy be offended if they were?), breaking and entering! They’ve tracked down the armored bandits warehouse and make their way in for evidence but instead find themselves in big trouble.
Positives
The issue is a lot of fun, the conclusion to this story is satisfying and suits the characters and their weird ways of working. As with the last few issues, the creative team has hit their stride and truly figured out their portrayal of Harley Quinn. She is a great character to read, and though my high school English teachers would be furious to know the amount of alliteration coming, they too would enjoy this book.
Negatives
I honestly have nothing bad to say, and I am highly impressed with the way Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti portrayed a fetish club. It wasn’t overdone and without tact. In fact there is a great scene where Harley gives a transvestite some tips on his lipstick which really demonstrate the open-mindedness and fun that this creative team will give us.
Verdict
I serious enjoyed this issue and I know that readers, any readers, will enjoy the wacky world of Harley Quinn #7.
