Harley Quinn continues to amuse me in an oddball kind of way. If she were real, she would be the family friend from out of town that is super nice but can quickly get too intense in an argument. In the wake of the Alien Hotdog Contamination incident and the reconstruction of the city, Harley gets a call to deal with some phone scammers in Mumbai and so she gets a ticket and flies out.
Along with Harley, Bolly Quinn joins for the adventure and we get to meet her cousin, a Bollywood bigwig who takes a quick liking to Harley.
Positives
This issue is packed full of some great jokes and sly quips that had me laughing. The art style fits perfectly with the series and the animation of the other characters is fantastic for this world.
Negatives
This isn’t a bad thing, but this story is a stand alone issue for the most part, or feels like it. Like Clerks, it’s a great story, doesn’t really fit with anything else, is full of some powerful life lessons in an unexpected way.
Verdict
Overall, Harley Quinn #4 has some frank discussion, some great humor, and a funny scene that is a small commentary on call centers. You’ll enjoy this issue and like me, you won’t be sure why.
