Summary
Titled “Red Robin Remembrance,” this issue takes place directly after Detective Comics #940. Beast Boy, Wonder Girl, Bunker, Power Girl, and Raven are recounting their fondest memories of Tim Drake while trying to keep themselves from their sorrow.
We get to hear tales of fashion, pride parades, yachts, relaxation, bad physics jokes, and kisses that could have been. Each member of the Titans has a special link or memory with Tim and through them we see how Drake lived and the kind person he became.
He was a unique Robin because the negativity, anger, and malice that sometimes drive Batman and root themselves in the Robins, didn’t for him. He grew to be a kind person.
It will be interesting to see what the remaining Titans do with themselves. Bunker and Raven hint at traveling to see family while Wonder Girl and Power Girl seem to want to stick together. Red Robin acted as the bond for that team and it’ll take another Robin to join them together again.
Positives
This issue was great, it was a wonderful way to appreciate Tim Drake, the physics jokes were especially good if you enjoy science.
Negatives
With the well storied and amazing life Tim Drake had, Teen Titans #24 seems to be too short. More stories would have made this issue far more powerful and inline with the seriousness of what happened.
Verdict
This issue alone feels like a good way to pay respects to Red Robin. When read with Detective Comics #940 it is made that much more powerful.
