Superman To Appear On “Supergirl” In Season 2!

Potential unknown to appear as Superman on "Supergirl"

Man of Steel will visit cousin Kara in National City

We recently learned that the series Supergirl will move from CBS to The CW for its Sophomore Season. Now, we receive word that casting is underway for the role of Clark Kent/Superman!

We’ve seen glimpse or parts of him during Season 1, but now we will actually see him interact with his Kryptonian Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City.

“Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, who co-created the series with fellow exec producers Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler. “We cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape.”

Fans were hoping for Smallville alum Tom Welling to finally step into the red boots, especially the tease of tights in the series finale of the show. But it doesn’t seem likely after Kreisberg’s remarks, and we will probably get a new Man of Steel.

Supergirl will return to its timeslot next season, Monday at 8 / 7 c, but now on The CW.
