Boy meets girl. Boy has super powers. Boy is awkward around girl because she wears a meteor rock from boy’s home planet. Meteor rocks from boy’s home planet land to Earth creating super villains.
Smallville helped to introduce and redefine Superman and his mythos for the Millennial generation. And now the groundbreaking series is headed to the streaming service Hulu. While no official date has been given, the show is expected to bow “exclusively on Hulu later this year.”
The series premiered on on what was The WB on October 16, 2001. It starred Tom Welling as a Clark Kent before he becomes the Man of Steel, and the strange goings on in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas. In it’s sixth season, Smallville and other WB series moved to The CW, a network created from The WB and UPN. Latter seasons focused more on Clark Kent’s journey into embracing his superhero destiny as Superman.
Smallville is not the only Warner Bros. Television series coming to Hulu. Blindspot, Lucifer, Southland and others will also join the streaming provider as part of a multi-show deal.
