DC Comics Chief Entertainment Officer Geoff Johns gives fans more details on what “Rebirth” actually is. In the video, the mastermind behind bringing back Hal Jordan and Barry Allen talks about the cohesion of past elements of characters and storylines with current elements and plots.
So its sounds like the history that was once ignored in the New 52 will somehow be incorporated into it. Evidence of this can be seen the recent comic book series Titans Hunt. Check out this DC All Access clip:
