Meet 2 Green Arrows as “Legends” Travel to 2046 In Extended Trailer!

The crew encounter a different future with 2 hooded heroes.

Fans of the hit CW show Arrow have been asking since day one when star Stephen Amell would don a goatee as Oliver Queen (much like his pre-52 comic book counterpart). But Amell repeated denied that would ever have one, much less could he grow one.

Enter the miracle of prosthetic makeup and another CW series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Our “Legends” travel to a future dystopian Star City, and encounter not one, but 2 Emerald Archers – Amell as Oliver Queen with goatee and minus an arm (reminiscent of Queen’s appearance in the graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), and Connor Hawke played by Joseph David-Jones (Source: Screen Crush). Here is a trailer for next week’s episode, “Star City 2046”.

Legends of Tomorrow producer Marc Guggenheim had this to say to site Collider about the Arrows:

“We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber (Professor Martin Stein / Firestorm), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer / The ATOM), Arthur Darrell (Rip Hunter), Caity Lotz (Sarah Lance / White Canary), Franz Drameh (Jefferson “Jax” Jackson / Firestorm), Ciara Renée (Chay-Ara / Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl), Amy Pemberton (Gideon), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory / Heat Wave) and Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart / Captain Cold). It air Thursday nights at 8/7 c on The CW.
