DC Comics Scores Two Nominations At The Annual GLAAD Media Awards

Earlier today, the nominees for the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards were announced and DC Comics managed to get two nominees in the category of Outstanding Comic Book.

The two books to get nominated this year were HARLEY QUINN, co-written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti with art by Chad Hardin, John Timms, and Jed Dougherty, and  MIDNIGHTER, written by Steve Orlando and with art by Aco, Hugh Petrus, Alec Morgan and Stephen Mooney.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.  The GLAAD Media Awards also fund GLAAD’s work to amplify stories from the LGBT community and issues that build support for acceptance.

The winners will be announced at gala celebrations in Los Angeles on April 2, 2016 and New York on May 14, 2016.  The comics award is traditionally given out at the New York ceremony.
