DC Comics Challenges All Comers For Intellectual Properties
Last time on DC Comics News…
DC Comics filed a lawsuit in California federal court against clothing manufacturer Mad Engine for copyright infringement. DC Comics accused the company of using an altered version of the iconic Superman S-shield without permission (See DC Comics vs. Mad Engine).
Now, the comic book industry leader is taking on other businesses. But we’ll let you be the judge:
- Brett Edwards – Tried to trademark the symbol below for his school supply products company.
- South Coast Deli – Attempted registering their “Deli Boy” character.
- Donuts Pastries Comics Collectibles – The male bares a striking resemblance to the Man of Steel. And the female looks a lot like a certain Amazon.
- Gotham Networking – I think they should settle, but I’m not an attorney.
