“Supergirl” Receives Full Season Order From CBS!

The Girl of Steel gets a full season order from the Eye Network

It appears Supergirl will continue to save the citizens of National City for a while longer. Because CBS has ordered 7 more episodes of the superhero drama starring Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, the Kryptonian cousin of Superman. After years of keeping her powers a secret, she emerges from the shadows and reveals herself to be a true hero.

This brings the total number of the Greg Berlanti-produced series to 20-episode. Berlanti is also known for bringing other DC Comics themed shows to television such as Arrow and The Flash, currently airing on the CW.

Since its premiere on October 26, Supergirl has averaged about 11.24 million viewers a week.

Supergirl also stars Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and Jeremy Jordan with David Harewood and Calista Flockhart.

In addition to Supergirl, Life in Pieces, Limitless and Code Black have also been given a full season by CBS.

Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8/7 on CBS.
