“Gotham” Finds Its Matches Malone!

Former Breaking Bad star cast as Matches

In last week’s episode of Gotham, Silver St. Cloud was forced to reveal who killed Bruce Wayne’s parents. She says the man’s name is M. Malone. This, of course, Matches Malone.

We now learn from Comicbook.com that Gotham has cast Michael Bowen as Patrick “Matches” Malone. He is scheduled to bow sometime after the series returns from its midseason finale. Bowen is known for his role as Uncle Jack on Breaking Bad and several supporting roles in Quentin Tarrantino films like Kill Bill and Django Unchained.

Those familiar with characters from Batman lore know that Matches Malone was a thug from Gotham City. After he dies, Batman covers up his death and assumes his identity to gain access into the criminal underworld.

We’re not for sure if Bowen’s Malone will actually be the killer of The Waynes, but we are sure that he will serve as an intricale part of the new history of Batman being created by Gotham.

Gotham airs Monday nights at 8/7 on FOX.
