As stated, Barry Allen grapples with the Black Racer over him newly becoming the vessel for Death. It’s quite fitting; they race. Barry has visions of his mother. The Black Racer explains there must be death in the world, and Barry has to kill just one person. And Iris is the target! Barry has to stop him. But how?

POSITIVES
It’s not a terrible issue, certainly filler but it helps to explore what’s going on and how the characters try to reconcile what is happening to them. I’m still lukewarm on Flash’s history being defined by tragedy regarding his mother (so angsty) but it’s been the status quo for a while now so I really can’t complain too much. Otherwise the issue neither changes much or adds too much to canon, it’s just explaining things a bit further, which can be helpful in events as they often go too fast to get the whole picture and nuances.
NEGATIVES
The art is competent but I wouldn’t call it fresh. It skirts being dated looking. Neither here there nor there. Nice color definitely helps.
VERDICT
If you are passionate about the current narrative, want to know all sides to a portion of the Justice League becoming gods, and love the Flash, this is for you.
