Harley Quinn, Mary Marvel and Scarecrow Retro Action Figures!

Calling all Super Friends! CALLING ALL SUPER FRIENDS! We have a report on the TROUBLALERT! That nefarious sidekick of The Joker, Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn, has been spotted with the psychotic strawman — The Scarecrow! Mary Marvel, you are closest to the scene, please put a stop to their shenanigans!

Oh! Sorry. You caught me and my inner child at some imagination play. Back to the story…

Figures Toy Company is at it again! They are capturing the Mego vibe and creating figures that weren’t around and/or available when I was a kid. This time, they are bringing Harley Quinn, Mary Marvel and Scarecrow to vintage action figure form!

The figures will be available as part of their Kresge Series 3, clamshell plastic packaging with image card backing.

Mego-Style Mobile Bat Lab Returns

While Scarecrow and Mary Marvel have been around for quite some time, Harley Quinn is fairly young. The character celebrates her 23rd anniversary next month. She was created for Batman: The Animated Series by show creators Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Harley first appeared in the episode “Joker’s Favor” (episode #08, original air date: September 11, 1992) as Joker’s devoted sidekick. She proved so popular that she was given the backstory of Arkham Asylum psychiatrist, Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D. .  After several meetings with The Joker, a popular inmate at Arkham, she falls in love with him, which drives her mad, and making her create the persona of Harley Quinn.

These actions figures should be made available later this year. Hopefully in time for the Holidays. They would make nice gifts for DC Comics fans and writers (hint hint, Damian Fasicani). 😉

Will you order these action figures when they’re made available? And what did you think about this story? Please comment below.
