EXCLUSIVE: Interview With Actor Phil LaMarr

DC Comics News has an exclusive interview with actor Phil LaMarr (originally scheduled for February as part of our African-American History Month Celebration). LaMarr has an extensive acting career (Pulp Fiction and MADtv), including being a dominant force in the voiceover industry.

Though he’s been doing animation for quite some time, it could be argued that he came into prominence giving life to John Stewart/Green Lantern on Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. He would later provide the voice of Virgil Hawkins/Static on the series Static Shock. During the interview, LaMarr mentioned a top secret Neil Adams piece he’s working on for his next DC Comics-related project. Little did we know that Mr. LaMarr was referring to his role as Man-Bat in Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts.

Currently, Phil LaMarr’s voice can be heard on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Family Guy and Star Wars Rebels. Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts is available now on Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital HD and through video on demand.
