Killer Frost Coming to CW’s The Flash

Killer Frost will be coming to CW’s The Flash. Series regular Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow, knew from the beginning that her character would become Killer Frost. Participating in a Reddit AMA (ask me anything), Panabaker said that she “can’t wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys.” When asked by a participant if the Killer Frost hype was real, the actress encouraged the participants to watch the season finale of The Flash to find out.

In The Flash, Caitlin Snow is a young scientist at S.T.A.R. labs who, alongside of Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), serves as the Flash’s (Grant Gustin) support team. The character is awkward and endearing. It hasn’t been confirmed that the CW’s version of Killer Frost is a villain, but in DC’s comic version, that is the case.  Having “Killer” as part of the name doesn’t bode well either.

In the DC comics universe, several characters have had the name Killer Frost and have been adversaries of the Flash, Firestorm, and Batman. Caitlin Snow’s Killer Frost is a sociopathic metahuman with the ability to absorb heat from living beings and project cold and ice.

The Flash’s season finale “Fast Enough” airs on the CW Tuesday at 8:00 pm. Check out the extended trailer below.
